How do you know what your customers are thinking? What about your former customers? What about your potential customers? How do you know you’re positioning your business correctly to get their attention?
You ask them.
In a business world that is driven by numbers, it’s important for any-sized business to perform primary research. The time of making gut decisions is over. As more and more companies rely on hard data to plan and strategize, they find they need better ways to connect with consumers.
Survey software exists for that very purpose. With the functionality to build surveys, collect responses, and analyze data, survey software makes it easy to gather actionable insights about your business and customers.
But, with hundreds of survey software options available, finding the program that best suits your needs and expertise level can be hard. That’s why we’ve put together the Top 20 Most Popular Survey Software Infographic. We developed this resource to give you a high-level overview of the Survey Software space and some of its big players. However, this research is not intended to replace your own exploration of the market: it is not all-inclusive, and the most popular options might not be the best fit for your needs.
Read on to find out more about how we determined the Top 20, and check out this blog post by our CEO for a full overview of our methodology.
Research
This infographic is part of our series of Top 20 research which utilizes our unique Popularity Index. The index produces a weighed and ranked score based on:
- Number of customers
- Number of Users
- Social Media Presence (Facebook likes, Twitter followers, Google +1s, LinkedIn followers, Klout scores, and number of Capterra reviews)
Customers and users each make up 40% of the final score, and the combined social component makes up the remaining 20% (each individual metric is weighed at 3.33%).
In this infographic, we have defined “customers” as the number of unique companies/organizations that are actively using the software. We have defined “users” as administrative users, or the employees at those customer companies who create and manage the surveys.
We pulled the social numbers a few days before launch, so they are as accurate as possible given how these numbers fluctuate.
Data
In most cases, the customer and user estimates were provided by the software vendors themselves. Most of these numbers are ballpark estimates, and it would be prudent to assume all numbers in the table below are estimated. If a vendor could not disclose certain numbers, we provided our own estimates (highlighted below) based on our industry averages and additional research.
Take a look at our ranking and let us know what you think! Did we miss any big players?
We update these infographics a few times per year.
